Born for the track, the new Ninja ZX-6R corners like bikes of half its displacement but possesses a meaty mile-wide powerband. The Ninja ZX-6R's all-new ultra-high-rpm engine with polished intake ports churns out way more mid-range torque than its predecessors. The result is a nice fat powerband with a linear power curve, for hard-hitting acceleration across the rev range. No other machine in its class offers such an impressive amount of smooth, step-free power, and no other machine revs higher than the new Ninja ZX-6R. Specially designed for ultra-low friction, the compact in-line four delivers highly responsive throttle control, making it easier for riders to adjust their speed and line while cornering. In developing the Ninja ZX-6R's chassis, the Kawasaki engineers concentrated on designing a machine that allows high corner entry speed and high mid-corner speed. Like a bike with much smaller displacement, the Ninja ZX-6R's compact, lightweight chassis allows it to maintain its cornering speed throughout the turn - this is what makes it so much quicker than the other bikes in its class. Cornering speed control is further enhanced by a perfectly balanced combination of slipper clutch and powerful radial-mounted brake calipers. Complementing this track-oriented package are fully adjustable front and rear suspension units and the best aerodynamic package ever. As a result the new Ninja ZX-6R offers the power of a high-performance 600 mated with the nimble handling characteristics of a small-displacement racer - a combination that will put this bike at the head of the pack in 2007.

BMW S 1000 RR Bike

Suzuki G-Strider

The Suzuki G-Strider was first seen during the 2003 Tokyo Motorshow. It was invigorating to think that Triumph was starting to understand the need for factory recognition of custom motorcycles (like the Bonneville pictured above). The builder applied some cool touches, like the exposed drive sprocket, race suspension and engine mods, but ultimately, I think Triumph missed an opportunity. So often, scrutiny of a customized 650 or Bonneville reveals the frustration we have all encountered trying to integrate all the "sourced" parts we have acquired for our build. Not so with Rick. This is the second full custom Triumph we have seen from Mr. Fairless. The amazing thing is that he does not build custom Brits on a regular basis. Instead, he draws on years and years of experience building V-Twins, and applies the same ingenuity and artistry to the infrequent custom Trumpet he creates.

PROZAC

PROZAC CUSTOM BUILT CHOPPER-NEW

280 REAR WHEEL, CUSTOM PIPES, APE HANGERS, PROZAC
CUSTOM MADE AIR FILTER AND OIL TANK,

READY FOR SUMMER!

$ 65,000 RIDE AWAY
The Rapom V8 motorcycle, which produces over 1000 bhp, was built by British engineer Nick Argyle. It is powered by a supercharged Dodge V-8 engine. Running on alcohol, the 1000 bhp returns just four miles per gallon, and it's mileage log usually only covers the 10 mile journey to a local drag racing strip. With that sort of power available at a twist of the wrist, the monster bike requires a super long chassis end every bit of its curb weight of 1000lbs in order to stop the bike flipping under hard acceleration.

Mission One electric motorcycle boasts 150 MPH top speed

The Mission One EV electric sports bike got a proper unveiling at this week's Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) conference, and boy does this baby exude power. Mission Motors says the motorcycle's got an 150 MPH top speed and 100 foot-pounds of torque at any point between 0 and 6,500 RPM. That's a good deal faster than the Electric Motorsport GPR-S, which tops out at a now-paltry 100 MPH. The lithium-ion battery keeps it running for 150 miles, and charge time is targeted for under 2 Hours at 240V (8 Hours at 120V). Its stylish form factor comes from famed industrial designer Yves Behar. Yeah, we're excited, too, but here's the part where you flinch: the deathly silent super-scooter will first show up in 2010 with a 50-unit limited edition run costing $68,995 apiece. A more affordable model will be announced sometime this summer. Benelli is a name many of us thought had bit the dust big time, tripped up by typically Italian financial problems. And although there were ill-founded rumours - printed in Motor Cycle News - of a link-up with TVR, Benelli is now in the hands of a Chinese firm, Qianjiang. And it's Chinese cash that has helped produce the Tornado 1130 pictured here.

Honda CB1000R

T1, which was first introduced to the public in 1998, evokes a hot-rod or musclecar image. T2 features deep fenders and a low-slung tank, which hark back to the lowered and chopped roadsters of the 1940s and ’50s. T3, with its traditional flame paint job, and T4, wearing a 9-in.-wide Goodyear Eagle drag slick, take inspiration from pro drag bikes. All four motorcycles are based on the horizontally opposed six-cylinder Honda F6 engine, which powers the current Gold Wing and Valkyrie models. This is a significant departure from the gaggle of V-twin-powered cruiser concepts from other bike makers that have shown themselves lately.

Honda Concept Bike

Not every new idea will make it to the factory production line,” says a Honda source. “That’s not the purpose of these concept bikes. By the same token, when a motorcycle manufacturer flies you to Austin for a ride in the Texas Hill Country, you don't expect to hear about bold colors early in the pre-ride technical briefing—if at all—unless, of course, the bike in question is the 2005 Victory Hammer. In the case of the Hammer, the color palate had to be new and particularly bold or it wouldn't live up to the rest of the bike.

2009 Honda CBR600RR

The fourth generation CBR600RR, influenced by Honda’s RC211V Championship winner and this years RC212V, combines perfect road going agility with superior speed out on the track. A new ECU delivers two separate revised maps sending the fuel and air mixture to be squeezed tight by the 12.3:

Honda nas

The U.S. motorcycle market often defies comparison. The bike features a detuned version of the relatively outdated Kawasaki ZX-9R engine. This detuning, in addition to the design of the exhaust, provides less top end compared to the super-sport ZX-9R engine, but more low to mid rpm range, giving a stock '07-08 Z1000 a top speed of about 149mph and 0-60mph acceleration in about 2.9 seconds, with about 125bhp at 10,000rpm. Kawasaki successfully addressed complaints of engine vibrations, and provided a much smoother ride on the '07-08 models compared to the '03-06 models.

2004 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

For 2008 NINJA ZX ® ™ -10 R, Kawasaki engineers aimed ideal for a super engine and chassis performance able to meet the professional riders, combined with first-class streetbike qualities to integrate the riders.
